INSTITUTE OF AERONAUTICS & ENGINEERING, Bhopal (M.P) established in the year 1994 run by Institute of Management & Technologies, which is a purely technical institute approved by Director General of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Civil Aviation Department, Govt. Of India for conducting Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course in accordance with the CAR-66 & CAR-147 . This Civil Aviation Requirement is issued in Accordance with Rule 61 and 133B of the Aircraft Rule 1937 derived from the Aircraft act 1934 (XXII to 1934) passed by Indian parliament, Govt. of India under the aircraft rule. DGCA is a regulatory body to deal with all matters pertaining to Civil Aviation in the country. IAE only trains students as per the training manual approved by DGCA, Govt. of India, students are required to pass the concerned examination conducted by DGCA to get an AME license, mere joining AME institute or completing the course will not make any student an AME license holder. Also this course is different from an Aeronautical Engineer and deals with the maintenance field of the aircraft rather than design and research.
