India’s huge domestic Aviation market and opportunities.

Indian domestic market is the world's third-largest market, India just recently over take UK and grabbed the 3rd position by carrying more number of passengers in every quarter. It's just behind US and China. But it's pretty small compared to those behemoths, but it’s growing rapidly than anyone else mentioned, showing how much growth potential there is in the coming years, subject to sufficient infrastructure in all its forms. Government’s initiatives like UDAN Scheme (Ude desh ka Aam nagrik) is really helping India in building new regional airports and connecting cities together improving India’s Economy and infrastructure. Under the scheme 10 Airports are operationalized 25 new routes are added and nearly 25000 people are flown.

A Close Look at the India’s domestic market –

India has 6 major airlines which are Air India, Air Asia, Vistara, and Indigo (Market leader), Go first and spice jet. There are another two airlines as well which are Akasa air which already commenced there operations in the last month and Jet Airways is also likely to start their operations very soon. If we look at the data and market share of airlines they are expanding their networks very rapidly, and everyone is try to dominate and capture the market.

Akasa Air- 1.38% Market share which is likely to increase as more number of Aircrafts are joining there fleet.

India’s aviation sector had increasingly emerged as a one of the fastest growing industry.

Opportunities in Aviation –

According to data shared by MOCA (ministry of civil aviation) Indian aviation sector is likely to recruit 1 lakh people by the next year which includes pilots, Aircraft Maintenance Technicians, Cabin crews and other Airport staff.
To cover up with demand of increasing traffic, Indian airlines are growing their fleet size rapidly as possible which would require additional pilots as well as Aircraft Maintenance Technicians.
